Chameleon Christmas Cards & Raffle

bronze chameleon raffle

As a wildlife artist I'm drawn to the unusual creatures we share our world with. None can be more magnificently bizarre than the chameleon. While doing some research for this sculpture I came across the Belalanda Chameleon in an article suggesting it could be the rarest species on the planet which made me want to sculpt it and to do something to draw it's plight to greater attention.

Belalanda is a small area in south west Madagascar, the fifth largest island in the world lying just off the eastern coast of Africa. Its unique ecosystems are under considerable pressure, deforestation being one of the most immediate threats. Approximately 95 percent of Madagascar's reptiles, 89 percent of its plant life and 92 percent of its mammals exist nowhere else on Earth. WWF aims to protect, restore and maintain Madagascar's unique biodiversity in harmony with the culture and livelihoods of the local people. This is why I'm donating a pair of these limited edition bronze chameleons as a raffle prize to raise funds to support the work that they do.

Raffle tickets are £1 each and can be purchased on my JustGiving page here.

Christmas Cards with a difference

As an added dimension to our fundraising you can purchase Christmas cards featuring the chameleons, each printed with a unique number on the back so that the card itself is a raffle ticket which will be entered into the draw - a great Christmas present idea! All proceeds will go to WWF. The winner will be drawn in January.

Prices for the cards are as follows: £2.50 each, £10 for five cards or £15 for ten cards and you can buy them online here or directly from me at any of my Christmas shows which are all listed on my events page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity so it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. You won't be added to a mailing list from this donation by WWF or Geckoman.

Cheers, John Noble-Milner aka Geckoman
